between rihana and rihanna.

since umbrella ella ella song hit the world and become so popular and brain washing, rihanna (the singer) became so popular and everywhere.. her song, the umbrella ella ella song was a good sing a long song in karaoke, not because it is easy but just because we can dance to the song while we sing to it. i first noticed that my last name would put me in a question, when my friends started to call me hey, ella ella rihanna! at that moment, i was like, well what the heck and even sometimes i sing the song with a little dance every time someone called me like that. eventually, rihanna the singer became more and more popular, that every time i went abroad the 5 minutes chat i usually bumped into with the immigration officers at the airports was about like this : 1. wow, you have a famous name.  2. uh, rihana just like the singer, 3. sumtimes, rihana? ok are you sister with the singer. those question asked by the immigration officers was like a template that i kept on receiving, and at the same time always replied them by saying, haha, yes my name is similar with the singer but the spelling is different, my rihana only used a single n, while the singer need a double n..

lately, my last name became so popular within people around me, that sometimes i get question quite a lot, like a friend of mine who wrote in my facebook asking me was my last name is really rihana, another one nice saying came from a good friend of a friend of mine who thought i was this rather weird girl who could change her name in facebook into someone she adore. another funny template, after i said my last name was rihana to someone new, they usually would say like : ohh, rihana ella ella.. i’ve became so accustomed to those little question and gestures, that it even attracts some stranger in facebook who have a big crush on rihanna the singer, some stalker who found “rihanna” via twitter, and the so many are your name is really rihana, and so on so on, it seems that my last name made me noticeable in some weird way. am not annoy or anything, but i just need to keep the record straight that am in any kind of way are not a fans of her. 

here’s the thing :

1. am not her fans, like at all. not that i dislike her, but am just not into her music and stuff.

2. all i know about her music was the umbrella ella ella song, which somehow many people related that song to me. it kinda became like a trademark song for me.

3. the things i knew about her are that she sometimes have a great style minus the constantly changing hair, the popular abuse towards her by her ex-boyf, and that she’s younger than me.

4. which let me to number four, am older than her! it means that my last name was truly an original name given by my grandmother. and if you want to know, rihana (single n) means a person with a good personality : )

5. overall, my last name is truly rihana. with of course a single N. and am not in any chance a fans of rihanna.
